The college counseling process is highly individualized depending on the student’s needs and goals. College counseling services may include: 

  • Assessment, development, and counseling on academic record and co-curricular resume;

  • Advising on high school course selection, standardized test preparation and test taking strategy

  • Formation of a comprehensive list of colleges with appropriate academic, extracurricular, and social fit; 

  • Counseling on application, supplement, and scholarship essay content development, feedback, and editing.

  • Assistance with application strategy and timelines;

  • Preparation for campus visits and interviews

  • Advising on financial aid, scholarships, and financial appeal strategy;

  • Strategic counseling on waitlist activity and school selection; 

  • Assistance with college enrollment processes and pre-orientation mentoring

  • This plan combines structured support and customization. Whether you need assistance brainstorming essay topics and getting started, editing your Common App and supplements, or perfecting your application activities list, the Senior Support Package can be customized to fit a student’s needs.

    Best suited for self-sufficient rising or applying seniors who need just a little extra help

    ✔ Personalized college application action plan, assignments, and timeline

    ✔ Can be used for active meetings or remote application review

  • This option is perfect for students who are looking for a final set of eyes to look over their essay and provide feedback. If after edits are issued, the student decides they would like more assistance, the time (2 hours) and cost can be put toward another package.

  • Just getting started? Looking for a little support to know you’re on track? Transition Sessions consists of (2) 1-hour sessions that will be tailed to a student’s academic and developmental needs. Often focusing on topics such as course planning, co-curricular engagement, study skills, maximizing summer, and admission process overview, these meetings are appropriate for students in freshman, sophomore, or junior year. It can be a perfect introduction or complement to a later, more comprehensive package.
